START Public Makers Lab

Introducing the first innovation program that’s not really a program.

An innovation sprint by students, for students, especially those who want to fix public problems instead of just talking about them. Because digital sovereignty in Europe won’t be built through drastic cuts and hollowing out, but through responsible, public-interest-driven innovation.

It’s technically not even a program.
It’s 0% fluff, 50% building, 50% testing in the real world, and 10% vibes.

Real-World Public Sector Challenges
No more cold emails to ministries or municipalities. We’ve already partnered with places like Landshut and Traunstein, who actually want fresh thinking on urgent policy and tech problems.

Part-Time, Real Impact
We know you’re juggling seminars, theses, and side gigs. That’s why this runs in the evenings and on weekends, your time, your terms.

From Prototype to Pilot
Build something that doesn’t die with the end of the semester. If your solution works, your public-sector partner may adopt it.
